Each June, the Foundation hosts a reception at a central London venue, the proceeds of which serve to supplement the countless donations upon which we rely throughout the year. This reception is not only our primary source of revenue but also an opportunity for us to spend an evening with some of our many benefactors and thank them for their continued support. These annual events are sponsored in their entirety by corporate organisations, meaning that every penny raised benefits some or all of the worthy causes that the Foundation supports.
Ticket sales are one source of fundraising, and a significant sum is also raised through our Grand Raffle Draw, which offers participants the opportunity to win a vast array of prizes including 2 Mercedes A130 cars, 2 Mini One cars, 5 Smart cars, luxury holidays, airline tickets, jewellery and designer accessories. PKCF is fortunate to have friends and patrons all across the globe, and many who are unable to attend our function in London have supported our cause by purchasing raffle tickets from abroad. We have, in the past, been delighted to send prizes to winning ticket holders in Iran, Europe and North America.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase from approximately six weeks prior to the June event.
The highlight of each year's fundraiser is the Auction at which items ranging from exclusive holiday packages, shoot days, period and contemporary art to sports memorabilia are offered to the highest bidders. We have, year upon year, been pleased to break the pre-existing record for sums raised through our Auction and are grateful that the spirit of generosity continues to flourish when it comes to this important part of our fundraising efforts.
As we have expanded over the years, we have extended our wings across the Atlantic and hosted similar fundraisers in New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles.
