2009 Markaz Tebbi Koudakan (Children’s Medical Centre) – Iran
This Children’s Hospital with 400 beds was the pioneer for child care in the Middle East and was inaugurated in 1968 by Drs Ahari and Gharib. PKCF equipped the newly constructed PICU with all its medical equipment to support 8 beds and 2 isolation rooms.  www.iranped.ir

2009 Ali Asghar Children’s Hospital - Iran
Ali Asghar is Tehran’s 4th largest children’s hospital caring for 4800 children annually. PKCF participated in funding the refurbishment of the Haematology ward by supplying the air-conditioning for the ward, a passenger/patients lift, as well as the medical equipment required to support 20 beds and 2 Isolation rooms.  www.iums.ac.ir/aach

2009 Trinity Centre - UK
The Trinity Centre supports children, particularly those who have suffered trauma, abuse and neglect, as well as young refugees separated from their families in the process of fleeing violent conflict. It provides education, play, advice, advocacy and therapeutic care. Funding was made to support these vulnerable children. www.thetrinitycentre.org

2009 Kanoon Farhangi Hemayat Koodakan Kar/Koosha  (Cultural Society for the Protection of Working Children – Tehran)
The aim of this institution is to remove children from the streets and to provide for their education and welfare. It also provides vocational training for their mothers, enabling them to obtain employment. Funds were donated to equip the kitchen and purchase classroom furniture and educational materials.

2008 - 2009 Sick Children’s Trust – UK
In 2009 a donation was made to fund a play area in their new ‘Home from Home’ project in Leeds, where parents can stay with their sick children while they are receiving treatment. In 2008 PKCF made a donation to help with the building of a new floor for parents of sick children at their centre in Newcastle.

2006–2009 American Friends of Le Kinkeliba, Senegal
Le Kinkeliba is a medical and educational organization operating in communities in rural Senegal, West Africa. PKCF funded the construction of a kindergarten for 300 children in the township of Sinthian, and thereafter the supply of furnishings and educational tools. The kindergarten was inaugurated on January 28th 2010. www.lekinkelibaus.org

ON GOING PROJECTS  

Malaekeh Centre (formerly 7th Tir Orphanage) – Tehran
Malaekeh is an NGO supported by PKCF since 1998. In addition to building the vocational school, refurbishing and furnishing the three wards, the purchase of computers, mini bus and physiotherapy equipment, on-going annual funding is made for the welfare and education of the 100 physically disabled girls, many of whom have, since our first year of support, completed their higher education and are qualified for gainful employment. Eighteen of our graduates have been employed in the centre itself, fulfilling the organisation’s teaching and secretarial needs. Younger girls replace the older ones who are able to support themselves and live outside of the centre.

Women for Women International
This humanitarian organisation is dedicated to the educational, economic and interpersonal support of women worldwide who are survivors of war and genocide.  In 2009 PKCF assisted with their programme in Sudan to help with the construction of a water borehole, an animal shelter and a feed storage shed. These were essential elements of a sustainable agricultural programme designed to ensure the local womens’ long-term self-sufficiency as they strive to rebuild their lives and their communities. In 2008 a donation was made towards the building of training centres for women in the same region.  www.womenforwomen.org

PKCF Vocational School - Tehran
Since it inauguration in October 2005 -  375 girls have graduated from two year courses in Accountancy, Physical Education, Computer Sciences and Industrial Drafting. 320 girls are enrolled in the 2009/2010 academic year. 95 percent of the students continue with higher education with a high number getting placements at universities. PKCF is actively involved with representation on the board of trustees of the school and we continue to support the maintenance, repairs and supply of educational material. 

Global Action Plan – UK
Offer a unique blend of creativity & environmental expertise to help actively cut carbon emissions. Global Action Plan runs the only environmental projects in the UK to be supported by the United Nations Environment Programme.  Our donation went towards supporting their  “School & Community Programmes”,  They work with schools to improve energy usage and reduce waste sent to landfills.  Also  ‘Evergreen’  - is  a housing association  project which engages disadvantaged groups in community environmental action.  www.globalactionplan.org.uk

Hakim Farabi Vocational School - Bam
This school provides two year courses in Computer Science, Accountancy, Graphic Design, Child Care and a one year course in pre-university Art & Design, as well as the sports facilities. This bright, spacious school was inaugurated in 2007 and was built by worldwide donations received after the Bam Earthquake Appeal fund by PKCF. The school gives an opportunity to many of the 16-18 year old girls to learn trades to apply in their daily lives and prepares some to further their education at universities. PKCF is actively involved with the constant upkeep of the school’s requirements as well as maintenance and repair.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust, UK
Cystic Fibrosis is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease. PKCF provides financial assistance towards research into the discovery of an effective treatment.  www.cftrust.org.uk

PKCF Learning Centre Jaffarabad, Ghazvin
PKCF originally constructed a 6 room school and playgrounds in 2004 as a middle school for the girls and boys of the Jaffarabad village, and added four more class rooms in 2006. 138 children ranging from 5 to 15 years old attend the school in three shifts. PKCF actively maintains, refurbishes and supplies the school and the children with many of their requirements, including sports equipment and clothing.

Ashyaneh Ali Orphanage, Kerman
Is an NGO in Kerman running three homes: one for 13 girls, one for 8 boys, and one for 7 boys with physical disabilities. These homes are efficiently managed and provide a warm and happy environment where the children receive the best of care, education and love from the carers.  Most of the children are either orphans or abandoned. PKCF has been supporting the welfare and education of these children since 2006 by providing annual financial support

Bachehaye Ma - Kerman
The 31 girls and boys ranging from 5 to 18 living at this NGO, receive love, care and education. The children have moved into their two new homes completed in 2008, construction of which was funded by PKCF. A library and sport facilities are under construction. Many of the residents have become close to PKCF members who regularly visit them. Annual financial support is given for their welfare and education. www.actionfororphans.org.uk

Arjan Ala Trust (Friends of Iran Haemophilia) Iran
In 1999 PKCF funded Arjan Ala Trust  for the purchase of medical equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of haemophilia and have since donated annually for the purchase of medication required by the centre. www.alatrust.org
