How does PKCF determine the causes that it supports?
Applications for funding are made to PKCF through a variety of sources. The Foundation's trustees subsequently consider each application collectively and vote on whether to include the applicant amongst the recipient causes. In order to maintain a fair and objective standard, the Foundation sets forth a set of criteria in its Charter, all of which must be satisfied in order for the application to receive due consideration.
How much money does PKCF distribute?
PKCF distributes all raised funds including any interest from its capital, and a portion of the capital if necessary.
How much money will PKCF donate to a successful applicant?
PKCF aims to support specific objectives and requests for open-ended funding are rarely successful. Objectives in the past have ranged from the refurbishment of an orphanage to the purchase of a minibus for disabled children to the purchase of urgently needed medical equipment for three charitable hospitals. Once a particular objective is achieved, a fresh application must be made if further funding is required for any reason.
How can I submit an application for funding?
If you wish to make an application for funding or know of a worthy cause that you would like us to consider, please send an email through the 'contact us' page of this site. If appropriate, we will subsequently write back to you supplying a list of documentation and criteria that we require from you prior to the consideration of your application.
Does PKCF only support Iranian causes?
PKCF is a UK registered charity operating in the UK. Each year we make donations to large-scale projects on all four continents as well as contributing to smaller local projects in each region where fundraising takes place.
What are the details of the next fundraising event?
PKCF's next annual fundraiser will be held on Wednesday 23rd June 2010 at the Kensington Roof Gardens, W8. Tickets are £90 each and will be available for purchase approximately 6 weeks prior to the event.
How can I buy tickets for the next fundraising event?
Invitations to the PKCF annual fundraiser are sent out in May of each year. If you wish to be included on our mailing list, please contact us by email: info@pkcf.com or call us. (All details regarding the event, auction and donation forms are included in the invitation kit.)
Is the fundraiser an exclusively Iranian event?
No. Although many of our patrons are from the Iranian community, PKCF is fortunate to have friends and supporters from all over the world. As such, our fundraisers bring together a variety of nationalities and backgrounds and we are delighted to welcome them all.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
No. For the past twelve years, tickets to the fundraiser have sold out some time prior to the event. Tickets are therefore not available for purchase on the night of the event.
How can I make a donation to PKCF?
Please refer to the donations page of this site.
How does PKCF fund its overheads?
Official sponsors underwrite all overheads and therefore every penny donated by supporters is channeled in its entirety towards recipient causes. We would invite companies to enquire about sponsorship opportunities for underwriting the overheads we incur.
How can I get a copy of the Foundation's Audited Statements?
The Auditors of the Foundation are Deloitte LLP. PKCF's Audited Statements are logged with the Charities Commission for England and Wales. Should you wish to receive a copy of the audited annual statement please contact us or visit http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk
